Final Cadet Newsletter

March 26 is our West Winds Car Derby at Nobleford. All Cadet Clubs in Southern Alberta will be racing. Weigh in and registration is from 9:00 – 10:00. Registration is $3. Burgers and hotdogs meals with chips and pop will be available for $5. There will be doughnuts, snacks and candy available at a concession stand. Parents are encouraged to come as the Nobleford Cadet Counselors are not responsible for rides or activities at this event.

Wednesday, March 23 is our Mother/Son Archery Night. We will meet at Lane Archery (3217 2 Ave N Lethbridge) at 6:20 -8:20. They are limited on the number of people that can shoot at one time so we ask that there is only one "Mom" per Cadet family. The first year Cadets are not eligible for archery yet. UPDATE: I have a meeting that night so Glen Wever will be in charge of this event.

March 27 Singing at the Seniors Homes. Please be at the church @ 1:20 if you need
a ride, or at Edith Cavell @ 2:00 P.M. Dads are encouraged to join us :) We will return to the church @ 3:45. Please wear your uniform. We expect all Cadets to attend.

April 16 is Camporee Certification at Trinity. If this is your sons first time to a Camporee he must be at the certification course to be eligible to go. The event goes from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Cadet Sunday will be this summer after we come back from camp. I will email the date later this summer.

Cadet Family Party will be April 9 at the church 6:30 -8:30. We will have a dessert social. We ask that you bring a dessert for 10 people. We will have the race track set up and will have a no-rules race. Lego or wood heavy as you can make it without anything falling off. If you make your car from lego it needs to be 6 studs wide. We will hand out the badges that night.

It has been a fun, but crazy year. With the church building and camporee preparations there have been a lot of distractions. Thank you for all your support and prayer this year.
I will not be returning as head counselor next year. I will come back as a counselor to lead the eagles cadre. There will be a few open counselor positions next year. Pray that these can be filled with capable and committed men.
