CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR ...

Harry Korver received a good check-up report. Time, patience, and God's touch are needed for continued healing. Hopefully, in the next few weeks, Harry will be able to rely less on the crutches.

Please continue to pray for healing for Dan Konynenbelt. Pray for Melody, the kids, and the extended family as well.

Sara Slomp has begun cancer treatments. She will receive one treatment every three weeks for the next 5 months.

Dave Heins broke the bone in his little toe playing soccer. He'll be on crutches for two weeks, and then with the walking cast for another four weeks. Let's pray for healing but also patience during this season of summer.

Also remember those who suffer from chronic disease, pain and depression that may not be as visible.

Please keep in prayer all those who are mourning because a loved one has died.

Jennie Emmelkamp at Blue Sky Lodge,

Mary Nieboer, at the Good Samaritan Center,

Corrie Heins at Columbia Assisted Living,

Tina Koetse, in St. Michael’s Health Care Center,

our widows, widowers, seniors and expectant mothers.

BUILDING PROJECT

Building Project Update: The building project has begun. The Building Committee (Henry K, Rob K, Luke H, Tim H, Mike F, and Henk P) reports the following:

· The development permit at the village is approved and processed

· Geo-technical review is complete and results are OK

· Dick VanHarbeden has been contracted as project manager and is working with West-Co and the building committee in preparation stage

· Liability construction insurance has been taken out by the CRC of Nobleford and is in place for 1 year

· West-Co Construction has sent plans out for structural engineering and a foundation load plan

· Tree removal and site preparation should begin shortly (Mike Fehr coordinating)

· Please contact a building committee member if you have any suggestions or assistance you would like to provide.

The Building Finance Committee (Andrew K, Jerry dB, Lucy K) report that the building fund (cash and 2009 pledges) has approximately 50% of the estimated cost of the project with an additional $304,100 in pledges for the years 2010-2013. We are working with the Christian Credit Union-Lethbridge to obtain a mortgage for the remaining funds required to complete the project. As the project is now underway, we ask that all 2009 pledges be paid before September 30, 2009. Thank-you.

GEMS: Although GEMS is finished for another season thoughts and ideas are being formed for the upcoming 2009-2010 GEMS year. Therefore, GEMS is in need of 1 counselor and a music leader in the fall. If you feel God is leading you in this direction or would like more information please contact Benita asap. GEMS is an exciting opportunity where women of our congregation have the privilege to mentor and lead young girls and women to a living-dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ.

LETHBRIDGE PRO-LIFE THANKS YOU! Our Hike for Life on Saturday, June 6, 2009 was a huge success despite the rain. Thanks to our many faithful supporters who came from all over Southern Alberta (locally as well as far away as Milk River, Enchant, Claresholm, and Grassy Lake!). To date we have raised $38,000.00 for pro-life education in Southern Alberta, $6824.00 of that was raised by the students of Immanuel Christian High School in their walk! Whether you supported us by sponsoring someone, walking at the Hike, or entering our Thumbprint Art Contest, we thank you for your generosity and support for life. The Board and Staff of Lethbridge Pro-Life

Greetings from the Ten Harmsels
Thank you for your support! We are entering our busy season, with teams of volunteers coming to teach English. Please pray for the safety of all involved, for opportunities to build relationships, and opportunities to share the Good News. Pray especially for our Beijing program, which isn't entirely in place yet, although it starts in a week or so. Please pray for strength for Lynn and I, as the summer is very tiring. It is heating up here, - today is maybe 35 degrees! We send our greetings to the church. Wayne and Lynn Ten Harmsel
