CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR ...
Harry Korver received a good check-up report. Time, patience, and God's touch are
needed for continued healing. Hopefully, in the next few weeks, Harry will be able to rely
less on the crutches.
Please continue to pray for healing for Dan Konynenbelt. Pray for Melody, the kids, and the extended family as well.
Sara Slomp will begin cancer treatments later this month. Pray for God’s healing, strength, and courage in her life.
Margaret Havinga had a very successful angioplasty. Thank the Lord for his mercy!
Also remember those who suffer from chronic disease, pain and depression that may not be as visible.
Please keep in prayer all those who are mourning because a loved one has died.

· The development permit at the village is approved and processed
· Geo-technical review is complete and results are OK
· Dick VanHarbeden has been contracted as project manager and is working with West-Co and the building committee in preparation stage
· Liability construction insurance has been taken out by the CRC of Nobleford and is in place for 1 year
· West-Co Construction has sent plans out for structural engineering and a foundation load plan
· Tree removal and site preparation should begin shortly (Mike Fehr coordinating)
· Please contact a building committee member if you have any suggestions or assistance you would like to provide.
The Building Finance Committee (Andrew K, Jerry dB, Lucy K) report that the building fund (cash and 2009 pledges) has approximately 50% of the estimated cost of the project with an additional $304,100 in pledges for the years 2010-2013. We are working with the Christian Credit Union-Lethbridge to obtain a mortgage for the remaining funds required to complete the project. As the project is now underway, we ask that all 2009 pledges be paid before September 30, 2009. Thank-you.

Payment can be remitted to Elim Society, 1408 - 9th 'A' Ave. S., Lethbridge, AB T1J 1X8 or given to a Board member. Thank you for your support.
GEMS: Although GEMS is finished for another season thoughts and ideas are being formed for the upcoming 2009-2010 GEMS year. Therefore, GEMS is in need of 1 counselor and a music leader in the fall. If you feel God is leading you in this direction or would like more information please contact Benita asap. GEMS is an exciting opportunity where women of our congregation have the privilege to mentor and lead young girls and women to a living-dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ.
Once again the council is putting together a booklet with information about our graduates. So, for those students graduating from high school, trade school, college or university please submit the name of your school, program you completed and your future plans. Please submit information to Tim or Benita, or put it in our mailbox at church or email to tbhummel@telus.net. Deadline is Sunday, June 14. Thank you for participating and we would love to hear from all graduates.
Thank You: On behalf of Drenthe Christian Reformed Church I would like to thank you for your generous donation for the Voorhees family. This is to acknowledge your March 18, 2009 gift of $ 4,566.00. CHRISTIAN SCHOOL TEACHERS: ever wanted to relate social justice issues to the subjects you’re teaching. Through grant funding provided by the Kuyers Institute of Christian Teaching and Learning, the Office of Social Justice has assessed materials and resources from the ministries of the Christian Reformed Church for their K-12 classroom potential. We’re seeking K-12 teachers interested in reviewing the resource summaries applicable to your teaching levels and subjects. We’ll provide a small stipend in exchange for your time. If you are interested or would like more info, contact project leader Jane Hilbrands: jhilbran@grcs.org.
