June 14, 2009
We are honoured guests this morning at the Lord’s table. The Lord will strengthen our faith with the use of the Sacrament. On this Communion Sunday, we invite our guests to listen carefully as the Form for the Celebration of the Lord’s Supper is read, which explains our understanding of the meaning and significance of the Sacrament. We believe that those who partake of the sacrament should be in good standing of a Christian Church, should profess Jesus Christ as the Lord and Saviour of their lives, should desire the Sacrament as a means of strengthening their faith, and should do so in accordance with the teaching of 1 Corinthians 11: 23 - 29.
