OUR CHURCH FAMILY
Congratulations to Tim and Mandy K who were united in marriage yesterday. We pray that God will bless your marriage as you begin this new chapter in your lives.
OUR CHURCH FAMILY
Our sincere condolences are extended to
the family of Sara S. Sara passed away
last Sunday and the funeral was Thursday.
May you feel God’s comfort and strength in the next weeks and months.
On Jan 19, Samantha’s MRI’s showed that her inflammatory disease
has gone into the bones. There are also tendon, tissue, cartridge and alignment
damages as her antibodies attack healthy cells. Due to the delicacy of her
disease, surgery to repair or alleviate damaged areas is considered too high
risk to her overall health at this time. Samantha & Damon are
currently applying for an out of country consult in hopes of finding ways to
slow done the progression. Meanwhile, she is continuing a strict diet (no
gluten or dairy), therapy and tailored supplement plan that has reduced pain
& increased energy.
Sadie
Boersma, Bonnie S.'s sister, died early Wednesday
morning. We express our sympathy and condolences.
Alice P has returned home and is
dealing with a lung condition. Minety W. will be having surgery on Monday to
install a pacemaker. Rodger
R. is feeling stronger and the
Doctors have given good reports.
Judy Van Hoepen
continues to slowly recover.
Henny v.F.
reports that her leg is feeling better and that the swelling has
decreased. Pray for God's strength to deal with ongoing back pain.
Continue to pray for Pastor Jim and Betty Z.
Pray for Dan K for God to bring
healing either through a miracle or the work of doctors.
Continue to remember those young
and old with ongoing physical, spiritual, and emotional struggles. Please keep in prayer all those who are
mourning because a loved one has died. Please pray for our widows, widowers and
seniors Jennie E at Blue Sky Lodge, & Corrie H at
Columbia Assisted Living, and our expectant mothers.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
We are currently looking for a
replacement for a material coordinater for preschool
ages 4&5. If you feel the spirits leading or are looking for a way to
serve in the church that only requires a few hours every few months-please
contact Jen Holtrop 403-320-8348 for further
info. (No creativity required :)
Audio/Video: There will be an Audio/Video Committee
meeting Monday night at 7:30 P.M. at the church. If any committee members cannot attend,
please contact Evan K @ 403-331-9115.
From the council: we are asking everyone to restrain from bringing food and drink into
the new building until further notice.
Also a request to parents that they supervise their children as this is
still an active construction site.
Otherwise we may have to restrict access to the building site. Thank you for your cooperation.
Audio/Video : In a few weeks we hope to be
worshipping in our new sanctuary. We
plan on involving more people in operating Audio and Video. Sometime in the future, there will be a
training session for using the new system.
Anyone interested in being a part of the new Audio/video team please
contact Evan K @ 403-331-9115.

able to fellowship like this every Sunday. All the names from the summer schedule will be
included on this list. Your turn to host
might happen three (3) times a year so your willingness to host a Sunday will

KAITLIN’S WISH:
In 2009, just after her 16th birthday, Kaitlin Boyda
was told she had an incurable brain tumour. Children’s Wish Foundation
informed Kaitlin she was eligible for a wish. In December of 2010,
Kaitlin informed Children’s Wish Foundation she wanted her wish to impact the
children involved with Compassion Canada’s ministry. (A non-profit
organization that is committed to “eliminating the root causes of poverty for
children around the globe”) Kaitlin’s wish was granted when the CWF
presented Compassion with a cheque on Kaitlin’s behalf to be used to provide a
project in Uganda with safe, clean drinking water. Not only will the
children and their families enjoy clean, safe drinking water, but so will the
community in which they live. www.compassion.ca/kaitlinswish
On the bulletin board, please see the letter explaining Kaitlin's situation and
how she is doing something for others in spite of dealing with cancer.
Dear Supporters of Christian Education:
You are cordially invited to attend the 15th annual Participation
Drive Dinner for Immanuel Christian Schools. The 2011 Dinner will be Thursday,
March 3; doors open at 6 pm with the dinner to begin at 6:30pm in ICHS large
gym. The goal of the Participation Drive Dinner remains the same, to keep
Christian Education affordable for all. A canvasser will be contacting you in
the next couple of weeks so please consider Immanuel Christian Schools in part
of your giving plan. Our featured speaker this year is Rev. Chad Vandervalk, pastor of the Charlottetown Christian Reformed
Church and former ICHS student. The program also includes a delicious meal
prepared by Creative Cooks and entertainment by our Senior High Choir and the Jubilate Chorus. Donations are gratefully accepted. Seating
