OUR CHURCH FAMILY

Deji and I would like to thank the congregation for your support and prayers; we really appreciate the people of Nobleford and the way you’ve continued to strengthen us even overseas. Deji has his interview with the Immigration Consulate office on Monday. We would like to ask that you pray that it will go well, and that his visa will be granted swiftly and with no problems. Thank you all so much for your kindness toward us, and may God continue to bless you richly.   Deji & Mandy

On April 19, Samantha P. was diagnosed with advanced degenerative arthritis (osteoarthritis) throughout her entire body; hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders, jaws, knees and feet. Her elbows have little cartilage left & the bone has already started spiking from lack of protection. Her wrists are degenerated and already abnormally angled. Knees are crooked, mis-aligned & degenerated as well. She was directed to carefully choose how to use the rest of what she has left and that her condition will not improve but get more painful. This being the bone & cartilage part, she still faces the muscle & inflammatory part next month.

CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR...

Sharon H. has undergone all of her chemotherapy treatments. She's tired and awaiting radiation treatments.
Corrie H. has made significant improvements this week. She came home on Tuesday.

Pray that Henny v. F., and Scott H. continue to improve. Pray also for patience when the healing comes more slowly than expected.
Everet S. reports some improvement in the alignment of his eyes for which we give thanks.
Leuis Postman (Henry’s brother) had a stroke.  Pray for him as he learns how to speak and swallow again.

Samantha P for energy to complete each day; for pain relief and appropriate medical care.

Brian K. has returned home.  He just finished his I.V. therapy on Thursday and is waiting for test results to see where they go from here.

Jaylene V. H.'s mom, Judy, has brain cancer for which she receives chemotherapy. The doctors would like to do a scan of the region, but the date has not yet been determined. Judy's outlook remains positive for which we give thanks.
Pray for Dan K., Melody, and the children.  Pray for continued grace and mercies.

Pray for the people of Haiti, Chile and China; for all those who have lost family members and homes.

Continue to remember those young and old with ongoing physical, spiritual, and emotional struggles.

Please keep in prayer all those who are mourning because a loved one has died.

Please pray for our widows, widowers and seniors

Jennie E at Blue Sky Lodge,    Mary N, at the Good Samaritan Center,

Corrie H at Columbia Assisted Living,    Tina K, in St. Michael’s Health Care Center,    and our expectant mothers

OUR CHURCH THIS WEEK   April 18 - April 24, 2010

TODAY

Today is GEMS Sunday.  We welcome all friends and families of the GEMS who have joined us in today’s worship service.  There will not be any Sunday School today.

NOMINATIONS: The council invites the congregation to submit names for nomination of elders and deacons. This year we require 2 elders, 1 youth elder and 2 deacons. Nomination forms have been placed in the mailboxes. Completed forms may be placed in the box provided in the foyer by Sunday May 2, 2010. Please remember this nomination process in your prayers and that the Holy Spirit may guide the council and prepare the hearts of those nominated.

Vacation Bible School: Please help us explore the high seas this year for VBS.  We still need more people to teach the little sailors that will be coming to Bible School this summer.  Please prayerfully consider signing up.   We also need old unwanted CD’s, sea shells and 500ml clear water bottles.  These can be put in the VBS box in the foyer.   Thank you

FOOD BANK UPDATE: This week, the food bank is in need of 500 mL. & 1L Peanut Butter.

The GEMS counselors will once again be part of the Community Garage Sale Saturday, June 5 at 318 Hunt Street. If you have any donations please contact Benita, 732-5163 or drop items off at Wilma Lubberts home before Friday, June 4. Thank you for your support of the GEMS counselors in our church
