OUR CHURCH FAMILY

Christian condolences are extended to Mrs. Corrie Heins and her extended family on the passing of great-grandaughter, Teagan Leeuwenburgh, daughter of Dennis & Michelle.

She passed away suddenly last Saturday, just before her first birthday. The funeral was Wednesday. Psalm 46:1 - God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble.

Birthday Wishes are extended to Mrs. Rose TenHave, who celebrates her birthday on Thursday, September 24. May God bless you as you celebrate with family and friends.

Again, on behalf of the Slomp-Bowoade family, we thank you so much for the interest and concern shown to Amanda & Deji in England. They have conveyed their feelings of Communion of the Saints even from that distance - for those who have requested their phone # and address - it is 011 442 083 106 044. Mandy & Deji Bowoade, 22 Aisher Road, Thamesmead, London, UK, SE 28 8L8.

For an update, Many started a new job Sept. 7 at the reference desk in a library. They have checked on Immigrations’ website and have discovered that Deji’s application is being processed at this time which is sooner than we expected. Please help us to continue to pray for positive results on the outcome!

CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR ...

Dan Hummel has been released from the hospital. He'll stay at a friend's house. He has made good progress. Let's give thanks to God for his healing mercies.

Sara Slomp by taking away all traces of the cancer.

Please continue to pray for healing for Dan Konynenbelt. Pray for Melody, the kids, and the extended family as well.

Also remember those who suffer from chronic disease, pain and depression that may not be as visible.

Please keep in prayer all those who are mourning because a loved one has died.

Dear Congregation: Thank you for your generous and continuing support of Christian education. Your contributions make a difference in the lives of the children who attend Immanuel Christian Schools. At these schools, the teachers deliberately intersect faith and learning, so that our children may be raised with not only an excellent knowledge base, but also in the fear of the Lord. Thanks again for your support.Corny Van Dasselaar, Board President Let’s Make Room Together! Rehoboth’s Board of Directors has designated September as “MEMBERSHIP CAMPAIGN MONTH.” Annual Association Membership Fees of TEN dollars are renewable in September, PLUS donations of any amount are needed and greatly appreciated. Your $10 Membership Fee (per person) and supporting donations insures the continuation of quality services provided in the Lord’s name. Again this year, we are encouraging each person in a family to become a member. Children under the legal age of 18 will be non-voting members. A strong membership base is a great benefit to Rehoboth when negotiating funding for the services we provide.

Please put your forms and donations in Pearl’s mailbox.

You will find in your mailbox a list of the committees, leaders, teachers and council as of September 2009. Please keep this paper as a reference. Contact Susy K if there are any errors, omissions, or additions to this list.

Great Opportunity:I want to share with you a great opportunity that is open to all people and will be happening at Emmanuel Christian Reformed Church on September 25 and 26, 2009. Emmanuel has joined forces with other churches and in particular with their deacons and is presenting a great event and conference called Lifes Journeys. Our keynote speaker for both days is humorist, Phil Callaway. We also have some great breakout sessions that will appeal to most everyone in your church. It should be an awesome experience but we need your help. We need you to encourage people to come. We need pastors to get on board. We need the elders and deacons of your church to register. We need bulletin announcements and some mention from your pulpits so that everyone is invited. As you can imagine it is difficult to plan and host such a big event but it is worth it all especially if we are able to get a good number of people from this Classis together to learn and grow in Christ. Thanks so much and hope to see you!
