We extend our condolences to Ard and Jen v.d.K. in the death of Jen's father this past Sunday.  May the God of all comfort be your strength.

We also extend our condolences to Ernie & Rickie VD & family on the passing of Rickie’s Mom, Jennie Emmelkamp.  The funeral was held this past Thursday.

Birthday wishes are extended to Mr. Bert K who celebrates his 80th birthday today.  May God bless you as you celebrate with family and friends.

Harold v.d.B. has completed his treatments.  Pray for good results when the follow-up work is done.

Keep Alice and Henry P. in your prayers.

Herman B. has moved to the Green Acres Lodge and has settled nicely.

We rejoice with Ena S. for another good report on her lung.

Pray for Rev. Jake C. with the death of his wife Dorothy.

Gert P. holds steady after her mini-stroke two weeks ago.

Alice K. remains at St. Mike's.

Albert K. has returned home, is doing well, but he still needs his rest. 

Tests show that Judy v.H. suffered a seizure not a stroke for which we give thanks.  No other results are yet available.


Please keep Judy v.H., Stan and Hendrika N in your prayers.

 Continue to remember those young and old with ongoing physical, spiritual, and emotional struggles.

EduDeo (formerly Worldwide Christian Schools) provides opportunity for volunteers who want to make a difference in the name of Jesus. Pearl Nieboer is joining a work group of 13 to help build onto a Christian School in Managua, Nicaragua from Nov.14-26. This is an opportunity to help children attend a Christian school in one of the poorest countries in the world. Team members pay their own flight, food and lodging but need to raise funds for the actual building project. GEMS : On behalf of all the GEMS counselors who attended the workshop here in Nobleford yesterday. I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the many ladies who helped serve, bake and make soup. Starting October 6, 2011, the Lethbridge Christian Men's Choir will practice on Thursday nights instead of Wednesday nights. Practices will still be at Wilson Middle School starting at 7:30PM. Men if you love to sing, come and join us.

CROSSROADS COUNSELLING CENTRE is hosting its Annual Fundraising Dinner on Friday, October 21, 2011. It is located at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 20 Rocky Mountain Blvd. West. CRWRC East Africa Drought Response: - With thankfulness to God and to our wonderful supporting churches and donors in Canada, CRWRC is very pleased to announce that a total of over $2.6 million has been contributed in Canada towards the needs of victims of drought in East Africa. Of this amount, $2.24 million is eligible for matching by the Canadian government,which will deposit an equal amount into the CIDA-managed East Africa Drought Relief fund, to which organizations like CRWRC can apply. Thanks to funding from the Canadian International Development Agency through the Canadian Foodgrains Bank and support from other CFGB members, members of the Integral Alliance worldwide and many others, your donations and those of the CRC in the USA were multiplied with an additional $6 million in grants. CRWRC’s drought response efforts in Kenya, Ethiopia and Somalia are now reaching 150,000 people (21,000 households) who were in urgent need of assistance. We thank you for your tremendous generosity, and thank God that we are in a position to show his love and mercy to so many people in need.
