ANNOUNCEMENTS
The GEMS counselors will once again be part of the Community Garage Sale –
Saturday, June 4 at 318 Hunt Street. If you have
any donations please contact Benita, 732-5163 or Diane, 824-3623 or drop items
off at Wilma Lubberts' home before Friday, June 3.
Thank you for your support of the GEMS counselors in our church.
Thank you: I would like to thank the congregation for your prayerful and financial
support as I attended PLIA (Putting Love Into Action). This spring break, I had
the opportunity to travel to Denver, Colorado and work alongside Brothers
Redevelopment Incorperated (BRI), a Denver-based
nonprofit organization that provides a variety of housing and
housing-related services for the region's low-income, elderly, and disabled
residents. My PLIA team participated in the organizations Paint-A-Thon; we
were able to paint the exteriors of two houses as well as communicate and build
relationships with the residents. In the foyer there is a poster with pictures
showing some of the work that we did. If you have any questions, feel free to
ask me!
