ANNOUNCEMENTS
Today the
GEMS will be singing in the Senior’s Homes in Lethbridge. All
girls are expected to attend. We will be offering rides from the church so
if you need a ride please be at the church at 1:20pm and we should
return around 3:45pm. In the past this activity has been part of our
theme badge, so we ask that each girl make every effort to attend this last
time. We have been taking attendance so if you haven't come you will not get
your theme badge. Please remember to wear your scarf.
It's Bazaar Time again! Saturday March 12th, at the Blue Whale. We are again asking for your assistance by providing a large salad or
vegetable dish. Grandma's are asked
to provide pie. Sign up sheets will be in the foyer
in the next few weeks for your signatures as potato providers, greeters, setter
and cleaner uppers, and servers. We also need your donated items to auction.
Thanks for your enthusiasm in advance. The Bazaar committee: Sue, Lucy, Betty Anne, Trina & Wilma.
The annual church supper and bazaar is
planned for Saturday, March 12 and
many individuals and other church groups are contributing in various
ways. The GEMS girls and counsellors
would like to contribute by asking each girl and counsellor to help fill a big
basket of items based on a theme. All the proceeds from the sale of these
baskets will go toward supporting our local GEMS club. Each girl in GEMS is asked to bring one item
to help fill up our basket. These items can be worth anywhere from $1.00 to
$10.00. Once the basket is full, it will be wrapped in cellophane and
tied up with a ribbon. The baskets will be displayed during supper and
then sold during the auction. Please note this is an optional activity. We will be filling
two baskets: 1.
Baking Supplies - suggestions can include cake mixes, baking powder, cookbooks,
baking cups, etc.
2. Family Fun Night - suggestions can include small games, cards,
popcorn, snacks, movies, etc.
