Luke and I want to THANK YOU so much for all your cards, prayers offered and encouraging words given to us during my treatments.  All the treatments were completed this past Thursday.  Above all, we want to thank God for His faithfulness.

Ena S. reports excellent news from the doctor.  She is cancer free!  Let's praise the Lord!!
Harry S. will begin radiation treatments in the latter half of July.
Everet S. also brings excellent news.  The doctor reports that his eyes have aligned properly.  Again, give praise to God!!
Jaylene v. H.'s mom, Judy, underwent the scan on her brain.  She waits for news.

Betty Z. will undergo more tests in order to determine if the cancer is primary or secondary.  These results will determine the course of treatment.
Dorothy C., Rev. Jake's wife, has returned home from the hospital, remains weak, but is doing okay.                                                                                                        Continue to pray that God gives recuperative strength and blessings to Sara S. Henny v.F. waits for an appointment with a bone specialist in Calgary.
Lewis P.'s speech is doing a little better but his swallowing needs a lot of improvement.
Rose S. continues to recover from a bout with kidney stones.
Samantha P for energy to complete each day; for pain relief and appropriate medical care.

Pray for Dan K., Melody, and the children.  Pray for continued grace and mercies.

Continue to remember those young and old with ongoing physical, spiritual, and emotional struggles.

Please keep in prayer all those who are mourning because a loved one has died.

Building Committee Progress Report

·         Upper level concrete installation is almost complete. The stage area is being

 configured with wood and then will also be covered in concrete. Basement concrete complete.

·        Wood framing in the upper level almost complete. Basement complete. Both ramps are now complete.

·        Kitchen/bathroom(flat roof) is completed and sealed with Torch-On roofing from Veldman roofing. AllWest plumbing (John D) has completed flat roof drainage system to the rear of the building.

·        The metal roofing for main structure is on site and will be installed ASAP.(Weather Permitting)

·        Spray foam insulation is complete in basement by Steve’s Urethane of Leth.

·        Vaughn S & Mike F are designing a front street sign.

·        All exterior windows and doors have been researched, priced, ordered, and/or installed.

·        The steeple is being manufactured by Aztec Portable Welding of Coaldale at a very reasonable cost.

·        The kitchen comm. has researched the design of the kitchen and downstairs kitchenette and acquired multiple quotes...The project was awarded to CouleeView Cabinetry(Fred VanHell)of Diamond City. They are still working on kitchen appliances, supplies, & fellowship hall tables/chairs.

·        The landscape comm.. is working on an overall outside landscape and parking plan. They have visited with the Village of Nobleford and made them aware of our plans for the future.

·        The nursery comm. plan for the nursery/toddler/bathroom is complete and framing is also complete.

·        The library/archive comm. have arranged for a new SAFE to be installed in the council storage room which has been donated. They have also arranged for CouleeView Cabinetry to build additional library bookshelves to match our present library shelves.

·        The decorating comm. has outside stucco, roofing, soffit, fascia, inside carpet, lino, paint colors, textures, hardware choices & suppliers, sanctuary west wall ideas, plumbing fixtures, etc completed.

·        The sound comm. has presented us with 1 plan and cost estimate so far (SoundWest of Calgary). They are working on more possible options and ideas.

·        Thx so far for all the sub-committee work done. Please continue working on any incomplete responsibilities as we want to avoid any delays with the overall project.

·        The bldg comm. continues working with Dick VH on: ongoing construction questions & mtgs/ metal roofing/ drywall quotes, installers & suppliers/ foam insulation quotes & suppliers/ electrical plans/ inside ceiling plans, heights, etc.

·        We are very happy with the completed work so far.

Next Sunday, June 13, Rev. John Moerman will lead the morning service and Rev. Bob Derrick will lead the evening one.  Sunday, June 20, Mr. Henry Wiebe will preach the sermon and Mr. Andrew Hummel will lead the evening service.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL:  Thank you to all those teachers that have come forward to help with Bible School this year. We need old white sheets to use for decorating for VBS as well.   There will be a painting party to paint props on Friday, June 11, 10:00 A.M.  Please let Vanessa or Lynda know if you plan to come to this.

Building Finance Committee Report:  Currently we have $99,680 left in our building fund.  Since the start of the building in 2009 and till now we have expensed $878,410.  We have received $78,076 in interest ($8,176) and pledges/donations ($69,900) in 2010.  Currently there is $83,000 in outstanding pledges for 2010.  If you are unsure what you have pledged to the building fund please contact the treasurer (L. Kooy).  We foresee that our billings for May will exceed what we currently have in our building fund and that we will need to access our mortgage funds with the Christian Credit Union in the near future.

 

2010 CRC Yearbooks are now available. If you are interested in receiving one please contact Albert Hummel.

 

June 12 4-7p.m is the Annual Burger Bash. Come out for a fun family evening of fellowship, food, and games.  We are still in need of some food donations and volunteer opportunities for the Burger Bash. Please see the sign up sheets in the back foyer after this mornings service. Please put food donations in the kitchen before June 8. Thank you in advance for all your help and support.

 

 

FOOD BANK UPDATE: This week, the food bank is in need of Baby Pablum.

Update: Coaldale’s 17th Annual Rehoboth Golf Classic was cancelled on May 29 due to inclement weather, and has now been re-scheduled to Monday, June 21, 2010.  All registrants will be contacted. For more information please call Alex or Erna at 403-345-5199 at the Coaldale Office.

The Ladies Auxiliary for Immanuel Christian Schools will be holding its’ last meeting of this year on June 7 @ 7:30 p.m. All members are invited to join us to wrap up business and enjoy a dessert at the Cheescake Cafe. Please R.S.V.P. to Jackie @ 824-3421 or  bjpostman@platinum.ca.

Immanuel Christian High School's final Band and Choir Concert will take place on Thursday, June 10, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Trinity Reformed Church.

Victory Church invites you to come to a evening with Stephanie Gray, from                                                                      Canadian Centre for Bio-Ethical Reform, Wednesday, June 9th at 7:00 p.m.  They will be touring around in Lethbridge during the day with information about abortion and will be able to answer any questions you may have on Wednesday and Thursday. On Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. there will be an evening presentation that everyone is invited to to have your questions answered and it will definitely be an excellent evening to learn the facts!
