Building Committee Progress Report

 

·        All interior concrete work and framing is complete.

·       Spray foam insulation is almost complete by Steve’s Urethane of Leth.

·       Vaughn S & Mike F are designing a front street sign.

·       The steeple is installed and the roofing around the steeple is now complete

·       Soffit/ fascia and metal roofing will also be finished soon.

·       Electrical rough in is complete. 

·       Plumbing rough in is complete.

·       Sound board has been installed under the drywall inside the new sanctuary to keep noises out of the new sanctuary.

·       Dick VH is preparing contractors for dry walling Wil Martens and crew will be doing the dry walling, finishing and texturing

·       Dick VH is preparing contractors for outside stucco. D.R. Stucco of Lethbridge will be doing this job.

·       The exterior of the front vestibule area will be having our old bricks installed on it. Masons have been hired to do so.

·       The present organ speakers and pipes are planned for the rear (east) wall of the new sanctuary.

·       The building project budget has been presented and accepted by the Christian Credit Union. 

·       To accommodate one way angle parking around the immediate perimeter of the church necessary tree removal has been approved by Council.  This will allow parking as close as possible to the church building. 

·       The entire church property will be groomed and levelled with topsoil.  Any unused church property to the west will be reseeded to grass.

·       The Landscape committee has prepared plans for sidewalks etc. around the new church.

·       We are very happy with the completed work so far.

·       Dick V.H. is actively pursuing painting contractors.

OUR CHURCH FAMILY

 

The children of Luke and Lammie Hummel invite you to celebrate their parents' 30th anniversary with coffee and cake after the morning service on July 11.

 

Next Sunday, Lord willing, Dustin Cache M. will receive the sacrament of baptism.

 

Congratulations to Mrs. Jenny Aardema who celebrates her birthday tomorrow, June 5.  May God bless you as you celebrate with family and friends.

 

Lewis Postman is showing marked improvement in his speech and swallowing and has returned home this week.  Thank you for prayers and concerns.                                                                   Henry & Alice P

 

OUR CHURCH

 

A Huge Thank you the YP’s and their fearless leaders for the entertaining games and delicious BBQ at the church picnic yesterday.  A wonderful time was had by all. Thank you to those who prepared the area by setting out picnic tables etc.

Sunday School Teachers:  Thank you so much for a wonderful year!  Please put your materials in the library so we are able to get ready for next year.  Thanks again!
We are in need of Grade 1-6 Sunday School teachers starting in September.  Please prayerfully consider whether you would be willing to help teach.  You can always find a partner and each take half the time.  If you are able, please contact Lynda or Melinda.  Thanks!

 

 

CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR...



Ena S. waits to hear for a date on which she'll undergo lung surgery to remove the cancer.
Dan K. is struggling with c-diff which produces pain in his stomach.  Pray for relief and healing.
Jenny E. has experienced some problems with her lungs for which she requires oxygen.  She still resides at the Blue Sky Lodge.  She's tired but has no pain.   Harry S. will begin radiation treatments in the latter half of July.
Betty Z. will undergo more tests in order to determine if the cancer is primary or secondary.  These results will determine the course of treatment.
Dorothy C., Rev. Jake's wife, has returned home from the hospital, remains weak, but is doing okay.                                                                                                         Henny v.F. waits for an appointment with a bone specialist in Calgary.
Samantha P for energy to complete each day; for pain relief and appropriate medical care.

Pray for Dan K., Melody, and the children.  Pray for continued grace and mercies.

Continue to remember those young and old with ongoing physical, spiritual, and emotional struggles.

Please keep in prayer all those who are mourning because a loved one has died.

PRAYER REQUEST - Back to God Ministries International: Pray for the joint ministry of radio broadcast, pastoral counselling and follow-up by BTGMI and CRC World Missions staff in Haiti.
