Thank-you & a huge appreciation for the prayers and meals during Samantha's illness. There is a lot less pain now, but no energy. Being able to handle 5-10% of her normal threshold is challenging. Some tests came back negative this week. More tests next week to come. Looks less like an autoimmune disease. We are still waiting for a specialist in Calgary for the pain/ inflammation end of things & another Orthopedic Surgeon for knees in mid-April. So far: Severe Fibromyalgia & Raynaud's Phenomenon has been diagnosed. Some symptoms don't fit either of these so further investigation is being done. Your compassion and prayers are our best medicine as the emotional part of this illness has been the biggest struggle for us so far this past 6 months. Damon & Samantha P

It is time for our annual church supper and bazaar/auction which will be held Saturday, March 27, 2010. Due to the overwhelming community attendance we need additional help from the congregation. There will be sign up sheets at the back of church for help with set up, clean up, serving food, washing dishes etc. We are asking each family to bring a salad or vegetable to generously feed 12-15 adults. Please indicate the time you are able to bring your dishes on the sign up sheet in the back. We are keeping the time honoured tradition of asking Grandmothers to bring 2 homemade pies. Please don’t forget your donation for the auction.

THE BIBLE LEAGUE: In a remote village in Ethiopia, a community has come together to provide education for their children. Using literacy as an access platform for the Gospel message, The Bible League of Canada is working with partners in Ethiopia to bring positive change. These children, who had no school, or education opportunities in their home village, will now receive an education based on Biblical truths. Praise the Lord for making this possible! The Bible League of Canada, www.bibleleague.ca
Regional Missions Mobiblizer: For over twenty-two years, Ruth Krabbe has served as our Regional Missions Mobilizer (RMM) for several classes in Western Canada, most recently as RMM for Classis Alberta South/Saskatchewan. Several weeks ago, Ruth shared her decision to step down from her role as soon as a replacement can be found. While we will miss her contribution to CRWM, we’re thankful for the many years she’s advocated for missions in your region on our behalf. As we begin the search process for a new RMM, we wanted to give you an opportunity to make suggestions for this role. Somewhere in your region is a person (or couple) whom God has already prepared for this important work. What is the work of Regional Missions Mobilizers for Christian Reformed World Missions? The long answer can be found in the attached position description-- the short answer is that the Regional Mobilizer is the link between the local church and the church's overseas mission arm, CRWM. The Regional Missions Mobilizer develops and provides support to a group of local representatives, one in each congregation, who assist in this work. For more info, see papers on the bulletin board.
