SENIOR SINGING: In your mailboxes today you will find the schedule for 2009/10. Singing begins on Sept.13th. Each group is scheduled to sing 4 times. Gems, Cadets and Young People 3 times. This amounts to only 8 hours out of 8760 hours in one year.! Please prayerfully consider your family's participation in this ministry which is a weekly highlight for many of the residents.
Nobleford Coffee Break Ministry. The fall season is quickly approaching and we are in need of help for Coffee Break this year. We need 1 Bible Study leader, 1-4 people who would be willing to set up the basement on Wednesday nights/Thursday mornings and 1-2 people to help co-ordinate the 3-4 socials we have each season, and of course nursery helpers. Without this help, we will not be able to run this important ministry. We ask that you prayerfully consider how you can be used by God in this ministry. It is a short season of ministry, as we only run from Thanksgiving to Easter. If you would like to help or need more info, please contact Melinda Notenbomer ASAP or before September 13. Thank you
Luncheon: We have been invited to a Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon at the Edith Cavell Care Center on Wednesday Sept. 9th at l1:30 am. Please contact Wilma Lubberts if you wish to attend as a representative of our congregation.
Sunday School Update. We are excitedly looking forward to another season of Sunday School and ask that you prayerfully consider joining us in this fun and rewarding ministry. We still need teachers for Grades 4 and 6. We plan to begin on September 20 with a time of fun and singing and our first lesson will be on September 27. If you are at all interested or have any questions, please contact Lynda or Melinda. We would like to have all our teachers in place by August 30.

See you there!

DID YOU KNOW??? – that euthanasia and assisted suicide could become legal in Canada??? MP Francine Lalonde has introduced Bill C-384, which would legalize assisted suicide, not only for those who are terminally ill, but also for those who are experiencing physical and mental pain. The bill will go to second reading this fall. If it passes second reading it will go to the Justice Committee for review and then will be returned to the House of Commons for final debate and vote. We hope it will not get that far! We need to let our MPs know that euthanasia and assisted suicide are not acceptable to Canadians! For more information on this bill and for details on how to write your MP and the Prime Minister regarding this issue visit www.euthanasiaprevention.on.ca. If you do not have access to the internet call Lethbridge & District Pro-Life at 403.320.5433 and we can send you some more information.
